One dead after car flips several times in Georgetown Co.

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- One person is dead after a car hit a ditch and overturned several times Saturday night, said officials with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Officials said the car was traveling on Old Pee Dee Road at about 11:10 p.m. when it ran off the side of the road.

The driver and passenger were not wearing seatbelts and were both ejected from the vehicle, officials said.

The driver was transported to the hospital and the passenger was pronounced dead, officials said.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is still investigating.
