WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Three of the four candidates trying to defeat Lindsey Graham for his U.S. Senate seat next year gathered in the same place to talk to Republican stalwarts.

The First Tuesday Republican Club in Lexington County hosted the candidates.

The latest entry into the 2014 primary, Orangeburg attorney Bill Connor touted his military service and promised to strictly follow the U.S. Constitution.

Lowcountry businesswoman Nancy Mace talked about how the country needs to get rid of career politicians and send people to the Senate who know what ordinary Americans do.

Anderson businessman Richard Cash talked about how Republicans must defend Christian moral absolutes to save the country.

State Sen. Lee Bright was not there, but a surrogate spoke on his behalf saying he was the only candidate with a voting record.
