CHARLESTON , S.C. (WCIV) -- A New Jersey man was sentenced to 22 years in prison after he robbed two banks, including one in Mount Pleasant, said United States Attorney Bill Nettles.

Craig Ozarowski, 56, of Belmar, New Jersey was sentenced Wednesday in a federal court in Charleston.

Ozarowski was found guilty of robbing a bank in St. Augustine, Florida on Feb. 8, 2013 and the Suntrust Bank at 404 Johnnie Dodds Boulevard in Mount Pleasant on Feb. 13, 2013.

His sentence includes a consecutive two-year sentence for violating the terms of his previously imposed federal supervised release, Nettles said.

Nettles said Ozarowski was released from prison in Dec. 2012 after being incarcerated in 1984. His prior record includes multiple convictions for robberies, malicious damage to property while in federal prison and assaulting a prison official.

Nettles said the 22-year sentencing will be followed by three years of federal supervised release.
