GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office will participate in the 13th annual Shop With Santa program on Saturday.
This year 36 children and 40 deputies will participate in the program. The children are selected from across the county by their school guidance counselors based on social need, grades and behavior.
The day will start at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast and entertainment provided by Walmart. After the breakfast, participants will get $100 gift cards, which are donated by Dead Dog Saloon of Murrells Inlet. A deputy will help each child shop for his or her Christmas gifts.
After shopping the children will enjoy a lunch hosted by Chick-fil-A of Murrells Inlet at the sheriff's office.
Volunteers from Primera Emmanuel Church of Georgetown will wrap their gifts while children eat lunch.
