SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Summerville woman said she understands exactly what the family of 32-year-old April Infinger is going through right now.

Infinger was shot in the back at Moonshine Saloon early Sunday morning. Officials said she was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

"I think if they don't shut it down, there's going to be a lot more. I mean there's a lot of violence there. And a lot of it, the police might not even be called. But it's a bad place," said Paula Clark of Summerville.

Clark said this recent shooting brings back painful memories of her son's death in the bar's parking lot 28 months ago.

"I'd like to see it close; it should have closed when my son got murdered there," she said. "Cause they done nothing to help him. I don't feel like they did."

In August of 2011, Clark's son Ricky Duttine was involved in a bar room fight, where police said he was punched in the face, then kicked repeatedly on the ground.

"The bouncer told him, 'You kick him again I'll call the police.' They even had time to leave and come home. That's where police found him," said Clark.

Officials with the Summerville Police Department said Jonathan Powell and Justin Johnson were charged with voluntary manslaughter in Duttine's death.

Clark said she believes the bar tolerates violent behavior.

"And if they don't close it, how many more have to die? That's how I feel," she said.

Clark sends her condolences to the Infinger family. She said they have a long road ahead of them.

We reached out to the bar for comment but we have yet to hear back.
