North Charleston woman shot in December died on July 4

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A woman shot in December 2013 died after nearly seven months in the hospital.

The woman, identified by the Charleston County Coroner's Office as Roslin Fyall, was rushed to Medical University Hospital on Dec. 16 after being found shot along a North Charleston sidewalk.

A spokesperson for the North Charleston Police Department says officers responded to 1815 Grayson Street in regard to someone being shot.

According to a NCPD incident report, officers found a 56-year-old black woman lying on the sidewalk. She was suffering from a gunshot wound to her head and had injuries to her face and forehead.

Witnesses told police they heard shots and saw a maroon or burgundy Crown Victoria with several black men inside leaving the area. The incident remains under investigation. Police have not released details about a possible motive.
