Posted: Updated:

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office are looking for a person they say used a gun with a squash on the end of it to shoot their way into a gas station and steal lottery tickets.

According to a CCSO incident report, an unknown subject was seen on video walking up to the Maybank Highway Sunoco around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

The suspect "pointed a firearm with a squash at the end of it" and fired two shots at the window.

Deputies said the suspect then took a cinder block and threw it at the window to gain access to the case of lottery tickets inside the store.

Officials said $6,000 worth of lottery tickets were stolen.

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office has not been able to identify the suspect.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Charleston County Sheriff's Office at (843) 202-1700 or Crime Stoppers at (843) 554 -1111.
