NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Starbucks employee in North Charleston said a man exposed himself to her last week while she was in the store for a staff meeting, police say.
According to a police report, the incident happened at the International Boulevard location shortly before 5 p.m. The victim described the flasher as a black man in his 40s, wearing a baseball cap, jacket, and basketball shorts.
He reportedly drove a black pickup truck, the report states.
While the victim was sitting with her coworkers in one corner of the popular coffee shop, the suspect showed up and sat at a nearby booth, routinely staring at the woman, the report states. This reportedly went on for 15 minutes.
When the woman got up to go to the bathroom, the report states she saw that the man had pulled his shorts up so that his penis was exposed. The victim went to the counter and asked someone to call police, but the man left the store.
According to the report, the victim was able to take down the suspect's vehicle tag. Police traced that to a registered sex offender from St. Stephen who was charged with three other cases of indecent exposure in 2009.
The report does not say the suspect has been arrested.
