AWENDAW, S.C. (WCIV) -- There was heavy law enforcement activity near the SeeWee Outpost Thursday morning.

Charleston County Sheriff's deputies were helping US Marshals locate a warranted fugitive wanted for attempted murder. The case originated out of Florida, officials said.

Officials have not released the fugitive's name.

According to a sheriff's office spokesperson, the search focused on an address off of Broom Straw Hill Road. He said the suspect turned himself in on scene without incident but officials are still there looking for evidence.

Multiple agencies were on scene, including agents with the State Law Enforcement Division.
