HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Beaufort man with a self-described masturbation addiction was arrested on indecent exposure charges Wednesday.

According to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, 40-year-old Benjamin Griffin Jr. walked into the Memory Matters facility on William Hilton Parkway early Wednesday afternoon.

Memory Matters, according to the company's website, is a community-based nonprofit organization for people with Alzheimer's and dementia and their families. It provides daycare and support.

After being greeted by an employee, Griffin reportedly said he was battling a masturbation addiction and needed help.

The woman told Griffin to wait in the lobby while she found someone to help. While she was gone, a report states Griffin unzipped his pants and pulled out his penis.

When the woman returned, she saw what Griffin had allegedly done and called the sheriff's office.

He was charged with indecent exposure.
