CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston Fire Department crews had to close a portion of the Crosstown to fight a house fire.

The Crosstown opened back up around 10:45 a.m.

The fire sparked Tuesday morning at a single story home on Kennedy Court off President Street and the Septima Clark Parkway.

According to dispatch operators, the Crosstown northbound was closed at Ashley Avenue all the way to President Street. Traffic was diverted by officials on the scene.
