Hunter-Kinard-Tyler High School evacuated after suspicious call

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) -- Students at an Orangeburg County high school were evacuated Friday morning after a suspicious call was made to the school.

According to deputies, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler High School officials received a call shortly before 9 a.m. and the school was put in emergency status. 

Students and staff were evacuated from the building while officials checked the buildings for an signs of a threat. 

Officials with the sheriff's office said charges are pending.
