ST. GEORGE, S.C. (WCIV) -- The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident that happened Friday morning.

According to SCHP officials, the driver of a 1998 Toyota SUV was driving north down US 15 in St. George when he ran off the road, overturned and was ejected. He was not wearing his seatbelt.

The coroner confirmed the accident happened between Indian Field Circle and Tree Farm Road and that the driver appeared to have been driving too fast for the curve in the road. The coroner also said the Toyota 4 Runner flipped three to four times.

Coroner Chris Nesbit identified the driver as 21-year-old Harold James Jennings Jr. He died from blunt force trauma to the chest.
