Reward increased for information on teen's shooting death

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The reward for information about the death of a teenager was increased after Crime Stoppers received an anonymous donation.

Shortly after midnight on Oct. 8, 2013, officers responded to a home on Forbes Avenue and found Malcolm Jefferson, 18, had been shot.

According to a release, Jefferson died from his injuries at MUSC.

Officials said an investigation indicates Jefferson was shot outside of the home and ran inside where people were playing cards.

If you have any information about the shooting, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.

The current reward is $5,000, which is good until June 30.
