CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Lowcountry lottery player found out he was holding a ticket worth $400,000.

South Carolina Lottery officials say a winning Palmetto Cash 5 ticket was bought at the Kangaroo Express on Folly Road.

All five numbers on the ticket matched Saturday's to win $100,000. The odds of winning $400,000 were 1 in 4,015,536.

Officials said the lucky ticket holder chose to "Power-Up" for an additional $1, so the $100,000 top prize was multiplied to $400,000.

The winning numbers were: 12, 14, 21, 27, and 32   Power-Up: 4

The winner told Lottery officials that he was shaking when he found out he won and that while he's won $5 or $10 before, he has never been this lucky.

"I don't know why it happened to me," he said.  "I can't explain it and can't understand it."

Officials said since the winner is now debt free, he plans to honor his winning numbers by continuing to play them once a month.

For selling the winning Palmetto Cash 5 ticket, The Kangaroo Express got a commission of $4,000.
