CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Clemson University is again taking its turfgrass management program on the road.
The one-day course is beginning its tour Monday around South Carolina to help teach techniques about managing grounds, lawns, recreational parks, athletic fields and sod production facilities.
The program starts with a stop at Palmetto Electric Cooperative in Hardeeville. There is a session Wednesday at Spartanburg Community College Central Campus, and the tour wraps up Friday with a session at Sandhills Research and Education Center in Columbia.
Participants will be learning about Clemson turfgrass researchers' trials in the latest techniques in managing grounds, lawns, parks, athletic fields and sod production facilities.
The program will also focus on implementing the best management protocols for water quality, insect pests, diseases, fertilization and weeds.
