Man wounded in North Charleston shooting

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A 21-year-old man was wounded in a shooting Monday evening in North Charleston.

According to North Charleston police, the incident happened on East Montague Avenue around 5:36 p.m. 

When officers arrived, they found a 21-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his right forearm and right side of his abdomen. Officers did not say how many times the man was hit. 

The man was taken to Medical University Hospital for treatment. 

Police say they have no information on a suspect or motive, but have several potential witnesses lined up to be interviewed. 

According to a report from NCPD, the victim refused to say who shot him or where the shooting took place.
