JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) -- Smoke could be seen coming from Gilligan's Seafood Restaurant when firefighters arrived early Tuesday morning.

A Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch supervisor says Main Road was blocked as crews began fighting the fire at 160 Main Road just off Highway 17.

Units from the Charleston Fire Department, St. Andrew's Fire Department and St. Johns Fire Department responded to the restaurant around 1:30 a.m.

There's been no word yet what started the fire or if anyone was hurt.
