CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) – If the warmer weather has you
thinking of summer already, you're not alone. The Charleston County School
District is using this week as a deadline reminder for its seamless summer
The program provides more than 7,000 free meals for kids all
For organizations that want to serve as one of the service hubs,
now is the time to apply.
"Real simple process, they give us their site address,
how many kids they plan on feeding and then they will pick one of our ten
schools where they will pick up food.
That could be Johns Island, James Island, McClellanville, North
Charleston, downtown, even West Ashley.
We have meal preparations all throughout Charleston County," said
Jeremy Tunstill, the nutrition services supervisor for CCSD.
