HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) -- Deputies arrested six people on drug charges at an apartment complex Wednesday night, said officials with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
The people were arrested at Cordillo Court apartments after officials said there had been a long-term investigation into alleged drug activity in the unit.
One suspect tried to dispose of evidence by throwing a handgun and drugs out of a window, said deputies.
Investigators seized about 4.5 grams of crack cocaine, methamphetamine, about 30 grams of marijuana, prescription medications, a handgun and $2,533.
Gary Nunes Jr., 30, was charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. He also faces three separate charges for possessing Oxycodone, Dilaudid and Xanax.
Timothy Bond, 24, is charged with simple possession of marijuana and possession of a schedule II controlled substance (Oxycodone).
Matthew Pelton, 32, is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Rachel Collins, 21, was served with two bench warrants.
Miranda Collins, 26, is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Diamond Clark, 22, is charged with providing false information, simple possession of marijuana and possession of a schedule II controlled substance (oxycodone). Deputies also served two arrest warrants for trespassing and one for third-degree assault and battery.
