Chili Cook Off helps raise money for breast cancer education

Posted: Updated:

JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Charleston ZTA Alumnae group is hosting its fourth annual Chili Cook Off Saturday.

The event starts at 1 p.m. at the Smoky Oak Taproom on James Island.

Celebrity judges will choose "best all-around" and "most creative" winners.

Each ticket holder will be able to place a vote which will determine the "fan favorite" award.

In the past, the event has raised more than $7,500 for the ZTA Foundation, which supports breast cancer education and awareness by partnering with Susan G. Komen, the National Football League and Yoplait Lids to Save Lives.

The goal is to spread the message of early detection to millions across the country.
