Sheriff: Missing teen's body found near swamp

CALHOUN COUNTY, S.C. (AP/WCIV) -- The body of a teenager missing for eight days was found in Calhoun County Friday afternoon.

Calhoun County Sheriff Thomas Summers the body of Kymmara Randolph, 17, was found in a swampy area near the Orangeburg-Calhoun County line.

Forty-five-year-old Jerry McKnight and 32-year-old Bryan McKnight have been charged with murder.

Summers said the brothers assumed Randolph had set them up to be robbed and they set her up to be killed.

"They got her over here under the pretense of a party - bring her over here so they could party. They went over there and picked her up. Basically setting her up for this killing," said Summers in a press conference.

Twenty-year-old Jonathan McKnight has been charged with accessory after the fact of murder in connection with the case.

Summers said Randolph was killed shortly after she was last seen leaving an Orangeburg home with a man Feb. 13.

This is the first murder in Calhoun County in two years.
