ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Charlotte man was arrested this week in a breach of trust case involving a Orangeburg church in 2005.

According to Orangeburg County sheriff Leroy Ravenell, Louis Herbert Gray stole more than $6,500 from the North Orangeburg United Methodist Church.

"Gray made statements in November 2005 that he would repay the church the money he had been given, but he never kept those promises. A breach of trust warrant was issued on Dec. 12, 2005," Ravenell said.

Gray was arrested in Charlotte on Feb. 21. A bond hearing was scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. His bond was set at $6,000.
