Posted: Updated:

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A man accused of impersonating a law enforcement officer turned himself in to police Saturday, officers said.

According to a police report, the 20-year-old victim said she was escorted out of the Silver Dollar by a man who claimed to be an undercover police officer.

The victim, a College of Charleston student, admitted that she had gotten into a fight with another woman in the bar and that the man said he would help her file charges against the other woman. She also admitted to underage drinking.

The victim said she got into a white Range Rover with the man and after driving across the bridge, he offered to give her money to allow him to perform oral sex on her.

She declined and asked him to take her to Spring Street. He complied and the victim said she ran home from there.

Mark Christopher Dewitt, 41, had a warrant out for his arrest.

Police did not release any additional details.
