CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A four-hour spinning marathon to raise money for the children and programs at Pattison's Academy kicks off Saturday morning.
The Pedal4Pattison event has raised more than $880,000.
The school serves children in the community who have severe disabilities.
The money will go toward the school's day camp, which provides the only therapeutic summer camp for children with multiple and/or severe disabilities.
At the camp, children receive much-needed physical, speech and occupational therapy, as well as specialized educational instruction and support.
The event runs from 8 a.m. until noon.
This is the seventh year for the event.
