CCSO: Man stabbed on way home from the beach

JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a stabbing that happened on Chisolm Road Sunday.

According to the incident report, the victim was in the back seat of a friend's car when he got into an argument with the suspect, 35-year-old Jason James Ammons.

The driver of the car told deputies that they were driving from Folly Beach in his Chevy Impala when the two men got into the argument. Ammons reportedly got out of the car once they reached his house, opened the back door and stabbed the 21-year-old victim in the stomach.

The driver drove to a nearby gas station on Main Rd. for help which is where deputies responded.

The victim was taken to MUSC by EMS. Ammons was arrested at his home on Chisolm Rd. without incident. He is charged with attempted murder.
