Construction Project Begins on 9th Street in Broken Arrow

Posted: Updated:

A street widening project began Monday morning in Broken Arrow.

It's over on 9th Street, also known as Lynn Lane, between the Broken Arrow Expressway and Albany.

Construction crews will move into the area to begin the project scheduled to end in October of this year. The roadway will widen from three to five lanes of traffic on 9th.

Area drivers should be prepared to come upon one lane of travel in each direction on 9th. Police will be in the area to enforce the construction speed limit.

A release from the City of Broken Arrow states that an approximate 18,000 vehicles use the road. It's a primary route to the Broken Arrow High School and Creekside Elementary School.
