NEWBERRY, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a 46-year-old Greenwood man has died after getting trapped in a machine at the Louis Rich meat processing plant in Newberry.

The coroner's office said Todd Hendrix hadn't been seen for about 30 minutes early Saturday morning before he was found crushed to death in machinery. His death was ruled an accident.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the death.

The Louis Rich plant makes luncheon meats, turkey bacon, chicken breast strips, ground turkey and other items.
