A child is dead Wednesday after a reported accidental shooting in a Broken Arrow neighborhood.

Emergency crews were sent to a residence just before 9 p.m. near the 3500 block of East Aurora Street in Broken Arrow.

At the scene officials were told that a 2-year-old child had reportedly shot himself with a handgun. He suffered a gunshot wound to the upper torso.
