A Tulsa man was taken into custody Friday morning for reportedly crashing into the back of a midtown home.

Officers with the Tulsa Police Department arrested Tyrone Ivey for reportedly driving under the influence. He is being held at the Tulsa County jail.

Booking information alleges that officers were called to the residence in the 3200 block of S. Braden Avenue after receiving word that a vehicle had crashed into a home around 3 a.m.

Officers allege that Ivey had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath along with slurred speech and bloodshot eyes.

"[Ivey] stated he fell asleep at the wheel after working long hours and driving back and forth to Pryor for work," the report described.

Ivey was taken into custody and booked on $1,000 bond.
