Earthquakes Rumble Oklahoma and Kansas

A 2.8 magnitude earthquake was the beginning of Saturday's rumblings in the Medford area. It was reported by the U.S. Geological Survey at 1:48 p.m. and had a depth of 1.9 miles.

Then, at 2:12 p.m. Saturday a 2.8 magnitude earthquake rattled 11 miles southeast of Medford and 19 miles northeast of Enid. It had a depth of about 2.5 miles.

A couple minutes later, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.9 struck in approximately the same location. This earthquake had a depth of 3.7 miles.

About 10 minutes after that one, a third earthquake struck that location. It was measured as 3.0 magnitude by the U.S. Geological Survey and had a depth of 3.1 miles.

A 2.5 magnitude earthquake with a depth of 1.2 miles struck in Guthrie around 10:17 p.m. on Saturday.

Then, a 4.0 earthquake was reported 8 miles northeast of Anthony, Kansas. It had a depth of 3.1 miles.
