Lowcountry Food Bank in need of donations

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Lowcountry Food bank will be featured Wednesday in the Volunteer 4 Phonebank.  The organization has been providing hunger-relief services throughout 10 coastal S.C. counties for more than 30 years.

Each day the LCFB advocates on behalf of  220,000 people. 

If you would like to help the food bank you can donate canned goods at Lowcountry Food Bank donation centers or drop off a monetary donation at 2864 Azalea Dr., Charleston, SC 29405.  One dollar can provide food for a family of six. 

The food bank is also always in need of volunteers.  For more information call into the Phonebank between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The number is 881-5837.   If you can't get to the phone during that time you can also call two other numbers any time of the day.  Those numbers are: Dial 2-1-1 or (843) 744-HELP or 1-800-922-2283.
