Speeding ticket turns into threat against SCHP trooper

Posted: Updated:

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Fort Dorchester High School student was pulled over for speeding and, according to police reports, she didn't take it too well.

According to a report from the North Charleston Police, an 18-year-old girl got a citation for speeding from a South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper.

Police said she took her frustrations to Twitter where she posted that she was going to "find out where that officer lives, kill his family, and blow up his house."

Officers met with the girl where she worked at Tanger Outlets. She told the officer she wrote the threats because she was angry. She said she was sorry and promised to take the threat down.
