Marshals ask for help in locating wanted fugitive

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Marshals Service is looking for a fugitive they believe has ties to the Lowcountry.

Jahbou Rudolph Drakes is wanted for violating his supervised release. His original violations included weapons possession and domestic violence.

Authorities said Drakes may be driving a black Chrysler Pacifica with an expired S.C. tag of 6833DW.

Drakes is 6'06" tall, weighs about 250 pounds and has a tattoo on his neck that says "Latonya." He is also described as having a discolored forehead.

Drakes' last known address is in Columbia, S.C. He also goes by the last name Boyd.

Authorities said Drakes should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
