A Muskogee couple are in jail under suspicion of 1st degree murder of a married couple.

On January 25th, Wagoner County deputies found Jimmy Rozell, 36, and Deanna Rozell, 45, dead in the Taylors Ferry area.

Investigators discovered that their deaths were likely drug related, according to a Wagoner County press release.

The Medical Examiner's office officially determined that they died of a drug overdose.

According to an affidavit, Jimmy Rozell is alleged to have bought 100 mg morphine capsules for $30 each from Johnnie and Nancy Hinds.

Wagoner County issued warrants for the arrest of the Hinds, both of Muskogee, for 1st degree murder in relation to the deaths.

Wagoner County Sheriff Bob Colbert told KTUL that the Rozells regularly bought drugs from the Hinds and had received a type of drug they weren't used to.

"They delivered the drugs to them that took their lives. It would be no different than delivering a bullet to them," said Colbert.

Although this type of case is rare, Wagoner County District Attorney Brian Kuester is confident in the charges against the pair.

"Whether or not it's prescription or street drugs it's still the unlawful sale and that's why were were able to file charges in this case," said Kuester.

Deputies arrested Nancy Hinds in Muskogee with the assistance of Muskogee police.

Johnnie Hinds was arrested at a residence in Oktaha by Wagoner deputies with the assistance of Muskogee County Sheriff's deputies and U.S. Marshals.

Both are being held without bond.
