ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) – Bond was denied for an Orangeburg County man who was arrested for a Nov. 22 armed robbery and rape.

According to the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office, Tevin Deas was arrested on Dec. 11 at an Atlanta apartment complex by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says Deas is accused of sexually assaulting and robbing an 18-year-old woman in an abandoned home in Orangeburg.

According to an incident report, while armed with a knife Deas forced the victim into a back room of an abandoned house where he raped her. He also robbed her, deputies say.

Orangeburg County Sheriff's deputies say the victim was able to identify Deas out of a photo line-up.
