Missing Branchville woman found, Orangeburg deputies say

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) – The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office spent Saturday searching for a missing Branchville woman. She was found late Saturday night in St. George. 

According to officials, 66-year-old Jeanie Diane Owens was last seen at her Branchville home on Friday afternoon. Owens has a mental illness that leaves her mentally at about the age of a 6-year-old.

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell described Owens as a white woman about 5-feet 7 –inches tall and 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing dark sweatpants and her favorite black Christmas sweater. She has black and gray hair and may be wearing glasses. 

Deputies did not say why Owens left her home or how she ended up in St. George.
