ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) – Three people were arrested this month for making meth in a home that caught fire where children were living.

According to Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell, deputies were called to a Eutawville home on April 7 in reference to a hot plate fire in a camper.

However, deputies did not find a hot plate but did find a meth cook, Ravenell said. Four children were in the house at the time.

One of the children, a 6-year-old, was injured.

Deputies arrested Steven Nathaniel Cornell, Aleia Maria Herndon, Thomas Edward McArdle, and Angelica Marie Williams on unlawful neglect of a child charges. McArdle and Herndon also had charges for manufacturing meth.

Photos were not available for McArdle and Cornell.
