MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) - Wednesday the Charleston Hope Lodge will be featured in the Volunteer 4 Phonebank.  The organization is looking for volunteers to help with their Road to Recovery Program.

The program provides rides for cancer patients who need to get to and from treatment.  Volunteers will donate their time and the use of their cars so that patients can receive the life-saving treatments they need. If your unable to offer rides, you can also help by co-coordinating the transportation.  Coordinators can work whenever it's convenient for them.  That could be one day a week, during the evening or on the weekends.

All you need is to give is four hours of your time.

The Road to Recovery program is part of the American Cancer Society.   For more information on how you can get involved call into the Phonebank between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on April 30th.  The number is 881-5837.

If you can't get to the phone during that time you can also call two other numbers any time of the day. Those numbers are: Dial 2-1-1 or (843) 744-HELP or 1-800-922-2283.
