Police investigate shots fired at North Charleston apartment complex

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Police spent part of the day Wednesday investigating report of shots being fired at a North Charleston apartment complex. 

According to officials, police were called to the Brackenbrook Apartments around 2:30 p.m. where they found what appeared to be a door kicked in on one of the units. However, no one was found inside the apartment, police said. 

Several shell casings were found and witnesses told police that some men running from the area. 

Police said they do not have any suspects or victims, but the case remains under investigation.
