Suspect sought after police say he threw boiling water on victim

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police arrested a man wanted for second-degree assault and battery after asking for the public's help in locating him.

According to a release from the police department, the victim suffered severe burns after 26-year-old John Mitchell, III threw boiling water on her.

Mitchell has two addresses, one on Piper Drive in Charleston and another on Old Pond Road on Johns Island.

Police said Mitchell was taken into custody Monday afternoon.
