NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Volunteers from South Carolina Electric and Gas are helping folks around the state stretch their energy dollars.
More than 25 volunteers will be in North Charleston on Tuesday weatherizing a home for a local family. They will help fix up another home in Summerville on Tuesday and third in Beaufort on Thursday.
The volunteers will be insulating the attics, replacing windows and doors and insulating water heaters, among other work. The projects are being undertaken with the help of the Governor's Office of Economic opportunity.
Homes in Columbia and Aiken were weatherized last week.
