Two arrested in robbery and kidnapping investigation

TUSCALOOA COUNTY - AL - Tuscaloosa police have charged a 19-year-old and 17-year-old with robbery and kidnapping.

Officers and deputies were called to the 4400 block of Northeast 17th Street on a possible robbery Monday afternoon. They made contact with a 23-year-old man who told them he had gone to meet a friend at an apartment on Northeast Kicker Road. The victim says he was jumped by three or four suspects. The suspects beat him with various objects and took his wallet and phone. The suspects made the victim get in his car and drive to ATMs to withdraw money. The suspects then kicked the victim out at NE 17th Street and stole his car. Officer located two suspects at an apartment on Kicker Road.

Authorities have charged Dremayne Lee and Jaquarious Washington with robbery and kidnapping.
