BOSTON, May 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ValoreBooks, the textbooks subsidiary of SimpleTuition, Inc. and SALT™ (www.saltmoney.org), a free, non-profit backed educational resource for tackling student debt, have just partnered on a campaign to eradicate $2,000 in student loan debt for one lucky U.S. student this spring, as part of a broader effort to help students manage the cost of higher education, save money on college purchases, and generally manage their money more effectively.
From now until May 25, 2014, any current student or graduate that has accumulated student loan debt on their higher education path may enter to win a maximum student loan payment of $2,000, paid directly to the current servicers or lenders holding that debt. One lucky winner from all the entries will be chosen in early June. Interested individuals can enter at http://smackdown.valorebooks.com
ValoreBooks operates an online marketplace focused on helping students earn the most money for their used textbooks and used electronics when they sell them back at the end of the semester as well as finding their new, used and rental textbooks at the start. Over 10 million students will use the Valore marketplace this year in their search for the best prices for key purchases.
"Valore continues to provide students with the best prices on the purchases they make or items they sell back. College is expensive. Textbooks are expensive, and we help millions of students get the highest value from sourcing or selling back," said Patrick Kandianis, SimpleTuition Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer.
The SALT program, offered by the non-profit American Student Assistance, provides over 500,000 registered members with tailored information, tips, unbiased expertise and helpful tools to help them take control of their student debt and manage their finances.
"SALT is focused on helping college students borrow less, borrow smart, and repay their loans in a way that works for them," said Jay Magilligan, Director of Marketing at American Student Assistance. "Our partnership with ValoreBooks enables us to reach more students with our mission and resources so they can learn how to manage education costs effectively."
