SC tourism leader goes to Capitol Hill to testify

   MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) -- One of South Carolina's top tourism officials is in Washington talking about tourism promotion.

   Brad Dean, the president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, testifies on Thursday before a U.S. Senate committee.

   The committee is hearing testimony from travel industry experts on efforts to attract 100 million visitors a year.

   Dean also serves on the board of directors of the United States Travel and Tourism Advisory Board as well as the U.S. Travel Association and Destination Marketing Association International.
