CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A reported gas leak shut down three roads in downtown Charleston Thursday morning.
According to officials with the Charleston Fire Department, units responded to the area of President Street between Sumter and Congress Streets.
Crews secured the leak by 10 a.m. SCE&G officials said the leak was caused by a "third party contractor."
Consolidated dispatch officials said Congress and Sumter streets were closed between Parkwood Ave and Sutherland. CFD officials said President was also closed between Congress and Sumter.
All streets were reopened when the leak was secured.
