Alabama Red Cross opens more stations for storm victims

The Alabama Red Cross has set up emergency aid stations in communities hard hit by last week's tornadoes. The Red Cross relief efforts continue as people begin the long road to recovery.

A Multi-Agency Coordination Center is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1111 2nd Avenue North in Bessemer. 

The center includes several disaster relief organizations and agencies. Caseworkers will also meet one-on-one with people to create recovery plans.

There are also emergency aid stations. Red Cross disaster workers are assisting people with recovery information, casework services, and counseling.

Those stations are located as follows:

BLOUNT COUNTY: New Life Ministries, 4435 County Highway 29, Oneonta, AL
JEFFERSON COUNTY: Adamsville Senior Center, 4819 Main Street, Adamsville,
