Police: Woman threatened shooting over stale roll

Posted: Updated:

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (AP) - Police in Mount Pleasant are looking for a woman who threatened to "shoot everyone" at a fast-food restaurant after complaining that her cinnamon roll was stale.

According to police, the woman was one of three who ordered food at a local Burger King. She started shouting that the cinnamon roll wasn't fresh, and became upset when an employee told her only one bun was left.

The three women walked out, but the complaining woman returned, saying she was going to "shoot the place down." A witness told police the woman had her hand inside her purse while making the threat Tuesday night, but all three left when employees threatened to call the police.

By the time officers arrived at the restaurant, the suspects in the incident were driving away.
