SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- The man wanted in connection to the stabbing death of his girlfriend in Summerville was arrested Monday in Charlotte.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, 59-year-old Lee Bradley fled to Charlotte last week to avoid arrest in Summerville. He was taken into custody off Freedom Drive by the Violent Offender Task Force, officials said.

Bradley will be held in the Mecklenburg County Jail until he is extradited back to South Carolina to face a judge in the homicide charges.

According to sheriff's office spokesman Dan Moon, a woman's body was found at a home on Bushy Lane last week.

The coroner's office identified the woman as Frances Lawrence. Officials say she was stabbed once in the chest.

Moon said after the incident detectives believe Bradley took a blue SUV and left the area.

Moon said Lawrence and Bradley were dating.
