CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The woman charged with felony DUI in a fatal crash on I-526 in January 2013 was sentenced to six years in prison.

According to the Ninth Circuit Solicitor's Office, Lisa Pistolis was sentenced to six years in prison on the felony DUI with death charge and a consecutive 10-year sentence suspended on five years of probation on the felony DUI with great bodily injury charge.

Investigators say Pistolis was drunk when when she was traveling eastbound on I-526 when she drifted off the highway into the median.

She over-corrected, which led to a collision with another driver. The force of the impact flipped the second vehicle, police said.

The driver of the second car was ejected from the vehicle. The coroner identified the victim as 35-year-old Serjei Cahuantzi from Charleston. Cahuantzi died on the scene.

A second person in the vehicle was taken to Medical University Hospital for treatment.
